Yoga is connection. Connection to your true self. It is the connection to your body, your breath and your mind. A regular yoga practice helps you to deepen this connection and to be concious about yourself and the connection to other people.
Yoga is a tool to better understand your body and mind. A regular practice helps you to stay focused and to control your body and your mind. You learn to breathe properly while understanding how your body moves. The power to control your mind eliminates all the obstacles that are on your way to be happy and free. Yoga is so much more than a physical practice.

Anna lives and loves teaching Yoga in Kiel.
It was in 2011 when she visited her first Yoga Class. Afterwards she tried different styles of Yoga and she was fascinated by meeting other Yogies and seeing the flexibility of their bodies. For her, even the first downward dog was heavy. It took a while until she realized why she should keep on practicing and she went on her mat regularly.
She travelled a lot and practiced in different places, different styles with different teachers. She was first practicing Vinyasa Flow Classes, but when she discovered Jivamukti Yoga, she also fell in love with that style.
During her Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga in India, she got introduced into the practice of Ashtanga Yoga, alignment, philosophy, breathing and creative secuencing.
After that, whilst living and studying in the Canary Islands, she established a regular Ashtanga Yoga practice for a time. Over the years she discovered that the physical yoga practice prepares her body for a deep connection to her mind.
Through experiencing these different styles of yoga, the Jivamukti method is the one where she feels home. She loves to prepare creative secuences and to experiment with her students in a playful way. Her classes are dynamic and filled with sound and music and she loves to share the principles of the Jivamukti yoga method with her students.
